RENAISSANCE FALL RETREATWHEN:
October 11-13 WHERE: Camp Sentinel 29 Lodge Road Center Tuftonboro, NH 03816 |
WHY:
To spend time together as a network, have fun together, relax in nature, and grow deeper roots in faith together.
WHAT:
A fall retreat for anyone connected to Renaissance or one of its microchurches. Our theme this year is Walking in Wonder.
"We suffer from play deprivation, nature deficit disorder, awe depletion, compassion fatigue, imagination suppression, and more. As a result, I think we suffer from God deprivation too." - Christine Aroney-Sine
Spiritual formation is a phrase that gets thrown around a lot these days, yet there seems to be something missing. Why aren't awe and wonder, compassion and curiosity part of the equation? Is it possible that one of the best ways to connect or reconnect with God is to become enchanted again? While recreating in New Hampshire, we'll be talking about spiritual disciplines that involve playfulness, joy-making, curiosity, laughter, and amazement. Everything about this weekend is designed to have fun and delight in God's work in our lives.
