Who or what is Renaissance? That's not the easiest question to answer. Maybe the best way to describe us is as a relational network of practitioners and communities pursuing a simple, ancient spirituality. Whether engaged in missional work in our neighborhoods or creating small expressions of the church (we call microchurches), we're committed to joining God in the work he is doing where we live, work, study, and play. This means our faith isn’t limited to buildings or programs, or detached from our real lives, but is actually connected to making a difference in the real world.

We are a decentralized network. Thus, our microchurch communities are our primary way of meeting at Renaissance. They meet at different times and places throughout the city and region. That said, we worship as a movement once a month, and we call these gatherings Celebrations. You'll discover that they are a casual environment where we sing together, hear a message together, offer kids programming and share in a community meal.
The movement we're mobilizing isn't about buildings, clergy members, or programs. It's about everyday people realizing their potential in God's kingdom (Ephesians 2:1-10). God wants to use business women, barbers, students, neighbors, coaches, designers, salesmen, and everyone else to bring about His love and truth in the world.
So, our team operates as equippers and coaches, helping to empower dreamers, creators and enjoyers of life to realize the potential of what God is doing in and around them to showcase His love in tangible ways in our city. We don't come up with all the ideas, but look to come alongside others who are ready to live on mission where they live, work and play.
